When we remember Joana, we remember not only a fantastic, bright scientist who strove for the very best for our patients, but also someone gentle and kind, funny and unassuming, who got on with everyone, and was just a shining example of the values we all aspire to. We feel very lucky and privileged that she was our colleague and friend.
